Professor Yan Zhang is an international leading researcher in Artificial Intelligence (AI), an award-winning landscape photographer and a mountaineering enthusiast.
As a researcher, Yan is leading the cutting edge AI research in the area of Knowledge Representation and Reasoning. In parallel to his academic career, Yan has established himself as a highly regarded landscape photographer known for shooting unique high mountain landscapes.
Yan is the winner of 2022 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year (Landscape).
Yan also leads adventurous photography workshops/tours in Australia, North and South Islands in New Zealand and Patagonia in South America.
